Berry to appeal suspension

Fran Berry has decided to appeal against the severity of a nine day ban he was given at the Curragh on Friday evening.

Berry, currently riding high in the Flat jockey´s championship race, was found guilty of careless riding following an incident which resulted in Pat Smullen taking a fall in the concluding maiden.
