Bell making the right noises The Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap went the way of the Bill Farrell trained Amour Fou (12/1), under Samantha Bell. Bell, based with Kevin Prendergast and partnering her fifth winner, moved the daughter of Piccolo to the front inside the final furlong for a half length win over Wellmarked. Farrell was not present for the win. The going was changed to ‘soft’ after the running of this race. Thomas Weekes
