Baileys to sponsor Irish Champion Stakes Baileys were confirmed as the new sponsor of the Irish Champion Stakes at a reception in Dublin yesterday afternoon.The Baileys Irish Champion Stakes, which takes place this year on Saturday September 11, will carry a prizefund of one million euro and the renouned drink brand will sponsor the race for the next three years.The ten furlong event is again part of the World Series, and past winners include Daylami, Giant´s Causeway and last year´s victor High Chaparral.
