Aramon goes into plenty of notebooks in Kilbeggan Willie Mullins took the wraps off another useful-looking import as Aramon stretched clear in the extended two mile three maiden hurdle in Kilbeggan. The five-year-old German-bred gelding won on the Flat in his native country and showed an aptitude for hurdling today. He was never far from the pace and eased to the front under a confident Paul Townend on the long run to the final flight. He was merely nudged along by Townend before the final flight to draw clear of Global Jackpot and sauntered home by eight lengths. The winner was returned the 1/2 favourite while Global Jackpot was a 9/2 chance. He was some 17 lengths in front of third-placed Cooldine Bog (5/1). Paul Townend said: "He was green early and was keen between hurdles, I just had to rev him up. "There is plenty of improvement to come. He seems a natural jumper and they'll have a lot of fun with him." Additional reporting by Donal Murphy
