Amazing Emma lands second victory of her career Chris Hayes booted home a winner on the Navan card when Amazing Emma obliged at 4/1 in the five furlong sprint for horses rated 45-75. She chased down Chitra racing to the final furlong and was ridden into the lead in the final 150 yards. The three-year-old filly was strong at the finish as she hit the line a length and a quarter in front of Chitra (11/1). Top-weight Parkers Hill ran a decent race in third under 10st 2lb. Sunset Nova completed the placings in fourth at 14/1. Trainer Liam McAteer said: “It's well deserved because she's been running well. “She's very genuine. Unfortunately she missed the break at Bellewstown last week but she stayed on really well at the end. You can't murder them when they miss the break in those five-furlong dashes. “She was good today, very calm and collected. Chris was very good on her. She was drawn on the outside, which some don't like but I do, as you are out of trouble. “She won well, she quickened up really well from a furlong-and-a-half out and she was never struggling. “She's by Mehmas who is a helluva good stallion. He's absolutely flying and everybody wants to buy them. They are very fast horses. “Tally Ho Stud do a great job, they buy some fantastic stallions. We support them and they support us by buying the foals that we breed. They are a great company, you won't beat the O'Callaghans.” This was Amazing Emma's second career success having made her breakthrough on the Polytrack at Dundalk in October. She had been a fair third on her last couple of appearances. Keane also won on Geocentric in the five furlong juvenile maiden. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
