On his first outing since October Admodum gained his second career win when coming out on top for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning in the Ever Kleen Contract Cleaners Handicap at Dundalk.
In this mile contest Admodum chased the leaders, he improved to lead and he was ridden two furlongs out, keeping on well under pressure in the final furlong to score by a length and a half from Poetic Choice
Coolcullen stable representative Ger Flynn said: "It was his first run since being gelded, and Kevin said he won well. He loves the surface, and is a lovely good-looking horse. I'm sure the boss will find something for him in the next couple of weeks.
"Coming back in trip was a bit of a concern. He won over a mile and two in Down Royal but he seemed to have enough speed there this evening, and it opens up a lot more options for him now."
C.P. Hoban, rider of Shannon Soul trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room shortly after leaving stalls.
The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving Shannon Soul, ridden by C.P. Hoban, Coreczka ridden by S.P. Davis, and Our Manekineko (GB), ridden by G.P. Brouder, where it appeared Shannon Soul ran short of room and was forced to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found G.P. Brouder in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.
