Acronym gave Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown a double at Clonmel this afternoon when making all to land the concluding bumper.

Lisa O'Neill bounced out in front on the 1/2 shot and he quickened away in the closing stages to post a convincing success.

Newcomer Summer Hill looked a threat early in the straight but had no answer when Acronym powered clear inside the final furlong for a six length success.

The winner was going one better today having been collared late on when second at Wexford late last time month.

Elliott revealed afterwards:- "He is now the winner of two bumpers as the horse who beat him the last day (Mount Pelier, in Wexford) is going to be disqualified (as his rider Conor McNamara also held an apprentice jockeys' license).

"He's a grand horse and he'll go jumping hurdles now. He'll be a nice horse for the future."
