On her hurdling debut Miss Accurate (13/2) followed up on her bumper win at Wexford last time out by taking the opening race of the afternoon at Sligo, the Benbulben Maiden Hurdle.
Bought by for just €5,000 by her trainer Dessie Hughes at the Goffs Land Rover Sales, the daughter of Presenting has already surpassed that amount in winning prize money on claiming this €5,175 prize alone.
Ridden by Bryan Cooper the 4yo made all and although she made a slight mistake at the last, she pulled out plenty to see off the challenge of the well supported 4/5fav (from 11/8) In A Nutshell for Davy Russell & Charles Byrnes by three parts of a length.
The pair pulled ten lengths clear of the third placed Dalkeith for trainer Michael Cleary at 16/1.
Winning trainer, Dessie Hughes said afterwards: "She keeps surprising us. She jumped well for her first time over hurdles.
"She has been on the go a while now and we might give her a break now for around a month.
"She might go for a Winners Hurdle now as she will have a Mares allowance.”
