Paul Flynn is hoping for a dry couple of weeks for The Big Chap with the €45,000 Campion Insurance Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase in mind at the Limerick Christmas Festival on December 28.

The Policy Maker gelding has proved a great servant to connections winning a total of seven times over hurdles and fences including the valuable STL Logistics Handicap Chase over the same course and distance in October.

The Big Chap was again prominent throughout when successful at Gowran last month and put up another solid effort when third to Sa Fureur at Navan last Saturday.

“He will probably go to Limerick over Christmas - the 2m3f chase there - but it might not suit him as it will probably be too heavy in Limerick. The way the weather is, we could get away with it.

"He won in Limerick twice.”

The Longford trainer is also planning a foreign raid later this season and added: “Probably our main aim might be the Champion Chase in Musselburgh in February.”
