Those who perm Jim Bolger 's horses in their bets will be in clover today as Mimicking (2/1), Flight Risk (50/1) and Parish Hall (9/2) all delivered at the Curragh to bring up an 840.5/1 treble for the trainer and his jockey Kevin Manning.
Parish Hall was the third leg of the treble and his win came in the Listed Alleged Stakes. Queen Of Alba quickly set out to make all as Manning settled Parish Hall in sixth, well off the pace.
On the descent to the four furlong pole Manning took closer order and moved his mount into fifth. The pair were swinging away on the outside and eased into third on the bridle with a quarter of a mile to negotiate.
Manning gave him the office with a furlong and a half left and the son of Teofilo readily took charge and stayed on resolutely to win by two lengths.
Bolger also saddled the runner-up in this race - Loch Garman He came through and finished well under Ronan Whelan at 12/1. This was his first run for 686 days. Waltzing Matilda (14/1) rewarded each way punters in third.
"It's turned out to be a great day. He's done that well, I'm very pleased with him. He moved very well and travelled very well and I arrived there too soon. He's running away. When I let him go he's quickened up and put it to bed very very quickly. He's a very uncomplicated horse," Kevin Manning said.
Jim Bolger said: "Parish Hall's a smart horse on his day when he gets everything right. The Mooresbridge is a possibility. He's been a little bit trying. I think he'll get back to the level he was at as a two-year-old. He's in great form now at the moment and he's moving real well and he's loving life at the moment.
"Loch Garman is on his way back. He got badly carved up in the French Derby the year before last, and it took a while for the wounds to heal. He missed all last year. He's coming back to himself now so hopefully we can have a good time with him still. He's all of 17 hands so he's probably a horse that would still be improving. It was a good run."
