The 4/9 favourite La Petite Coco ridden by Billy Lee, ran out a comfortable winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race.

The daughter of Ruler Of The World, who had won her maiden at this track in May, led or disputed with Max Mayhem before asserting over a furlong out.

She wasn’t hard pressed to come home two and a quarter lengths in front of the staying-on Kalapour (13/2) as Max Mayhem could find no more back in third.

The 99-rated winner was beaten just half a length in Listed company at Naas on her previous outing last month.

Winning trainer Paddy Twomey said: "We have her since the start of April, she was impressive here over a mile and went to Naas and ran a very nice race when I thought she showed her greenness in the closing stages.

"I was keen to get another race like this for her if we could and we like Killarney!

"I think she'll be very effective at 1m4f and think she'll be better at four than three.

"I'll talk to the owners but the Oyster Stakes at Galway would look a reasonable next step. I have it in my head to go for the EP Taylor at Woodbine at the end of the year."
