Willie Mullins saddled a first time out winner over fences in the shape of Red Vinto at Kilbeggan on Sunday and the Closutton outfit achieved a similar feat when Sonnium brought up a 104/1 double for Mullins and David Casey in the Summer Festival Beginners Chase.
The pair had earlier taken the Kilfeacle Maiden Hurdle with Dual Gales
Ceasen Desist (11/2 into 7/2 favourite) made the running in the two mile seven furlong contest but he was looking vulnerable when taking a tired fall under Davy Russell at the last.
Sonnium, a dour stayer, then caught Sanglote in the closing stages to prevail by a length and three parts.
Niall Almond, representing Willie Mullins, who has had six winners since Sunday, said: "He'll mix it now under all codes."
