Permission was given for both Fools Rush In (IRE) and Al Rufaa (FR) to go early to post; for Solomon (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post; and for Stressfree (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
Whiskey Pete (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Prior to this race, Nigel Tinkler was asked to explain the reason why he was running Theme Park (GB) here at York on going described as Good to Soft, having reported that the gelding was unsuited by the Good to Soft ground at York on 15 June 2024.
Nigel Tinkler explained that in his opinion the ground was riding softer than described at York on the 15 June 2024 and that he was happy for Theme Park (GB) to take its chance today.
The performance of Masekela (IRE), which finished unplaced, beaten 14¼ lengths, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Tim Easterby could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance.
The Veterinary Officer examined Masekela (IRE) during routine testing and had nothing to report.
Following the race, Mark Winn reported that Stressfree (FR), placed third, was denied a clear run on several occasions inside the final 2 furlongs; Jason Hart reported that Fools Rush In (IRE), unplaced, was restless in the stalls.
