It was brilliant and he is just a class horse. Everyone at home has done such a great job. Obviously, it is a shame for Rachael but I'm delighted for Darragh, he gave him a super ride and he has really stepped up. Fair play to him, he is taking his opportunities. Cheveley Park are tremendous supporters of ours and the game, so I'm delighted for them as well.

After race at Cheltenham Thu, 16th Mar, 2023 (1st)
It’s great for the Thompsons (Cheveley Park Stud) as they are great supporters of ours and the industry. It’s just brilliant. I kept saying to Richard (Thompson) that he is as good as he was before he went to Kempton, I was so happy with him before the King George, we really fancied him, but like a few of ours who went to England in the first half of the season, he just never showed up. A Plus Tard (Betfair Chase) and Arctic Bresil (Ladbrokes Trophy) just never ran their races. Nothing came to light, A Plus Tard had obvious reasons but not the other two. They were all beaten after four fences. I thought it might have been water and various other bits but anyway we left no stone and whatever we did seems to be working again. I was really happy the whole race, but there was a chance he was doing too much. He was jumping so well. Rachael felt early on he might have been doing too much, but then he settled. He’s a class horse. Everyone was delighted with him and I was hoping he would put his best foot forward and he did.

It's brilliant to have him back. Obviously, things just didn't go right for us sadly - obviously at Cheltenham and then at Punchestown as well. I had never seen it before but he must have hit the fence so hard. He had a little chip that Gerry Kelly removed and it is fantastic to see him back on track and I'm delighted for Cheveley. He was brilliant. To be honest I thought he was mighty going to Cheltenham, possibly too well - too fresh and well. It was just unlucky and Punchestown again just didn't fall right for us. It is lovely to start afresh and to start back like that. He jumped brilliant and you can tell by the smile on Rachael's face the buzz she got off it. He will step forward from that. I was so focused on this I hadn't really discussed anything but the John Durkan would look a very obvious race for him.
Henry De Bromhead
After race at Punchestown Sun, 17th Jan, 2021 (1st)
it’s a bit of an anti climax when the other horse went at the first. Jack said he went around in second gear with his ears pricked. When he asked him to quicken going to the last he did. He got a bit under the last and he quickened again. He didn’t mind the ground and he didn’t do anything wrong. I think he’d be better with a lead as he’s idle but he had to do his own donkey work. He’s in everything at Leopardstown for fear something happened (with travelling) in Cheltenham but I’d say we will go straight to Cheltenham.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Fairyhouse Sun, 29th Nov, 2020 (1st)
I should have just shut my mouth. having hyped future Gold Cup winner Don Cossack, but today fell into the same trap with obvious talent Envoi Allen, declaring .he is a horse of a lifetime. He is a superstar and we are very lucky to have him.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Cheltenham Wed, 11th Mar, 2020 (1st)
He was our best chance of the week. Everyone was here to see him and he did everything he needed to do. He jumped, he stayed and when he got to the front, he did what he had to do. He was bit tired after the race and knows he had a race today. Davy said they went a proper gallop and he showed how good he is. When he swung off the home turn I thought he was too far out of his ground, but listen both our horses ran great races, Easywork in second and him winning — it was brilliant. He was our big runner of the week, so there was big pressure on us. I have to discuss it with the owners, but we will enjoy today and see what happens. He was bought to be a three-mile chaser and that’s all I’m saying. I’d imagine Punchestown will now be the plan. It wasn’t an easy decision (to go for this race over the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle), but thankfully it worked out right.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Naas Sun, 5th Jan, 2020 (1st)
It’s a new trip for him, but he has always looked like a horse that would be comfortable going over that distance,. It has been a great Christmas, and I’m looking forward to starting off the year by running Envoi Allen in a race like this — and fingers crossed it will be a nice start to the year.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Fairyhouse Sun, 1st Dec, 2019 (1st)
That’s a relief but they are two very good horses. We like Abacadabras a lot and we think Envoi Allen is the real thing,.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Down Royal Sat, 2nd Nov, 2019 (1st)
We think the world of him, we think he could be anything. He showed a lot of pace there today. He wouldn't want to be stepping up in trip too much for the time being. He's very, very good. He was clever, he got in close to one or two but he learned plenty there. I'd imagine we would probably go to Fairyhouse now for the Royal Bond.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Leopardstown Sat, 2nd Feb, 2019 (1st)
He's a nice horse. Jamie said he couldn't pull him up, he said it was the start of the back straight before he could pull him up. He looks a very exciting horse. He's obviously in the Cheltenham bumper and I'll have to talk to the owners. He could have been very vulnerable there today on a track like that but he showed that he's a good horse. He's a galloper and he wanted to get him into a rhythm early, we didn't want to force him from flag-fall. He got into a nice rhythm and he was very good. I think the horse that went through the rail is going to be a nice horse as well.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Navan Sun, 16th Dec, 2018 (1st)
He’s still only learning, and Jamie said he couldn’t pull him up after the race. He’s a big raw horse, and we like him. He might not be a Cheltenham bumper horse this year but he’s a horse for the future. He’ll probably have one more run this season but it probably won’t be in Cheltenham. Malone Road probably won’t make Cheltenham the way things are going but maybe Punchestown. It’s not career threatening but it’s holding us up. When you miss six or eight weeks this time of the year unfortunately that’s what happens.
Gordon Elliott
After race at Fairyhouse Sun, 2nd Dec, 2018 (1st)
He's a nice horse but he’s a horse for next year. We’re only minding him this year.
