That was grand, the blinkers worked a treat. He's a lazy, idle type of a horse and they just made him concentrate. If you look back to the Lartigue, he had a wander around up the straight and it's a pity we didn't have them on him then. We'll maybe look for a handicap somewhere and he's big enough to jump a fence in time.

After race at Bellewstown Wed, 24th Apr, 2024 (1st)
Absolutely (kept it simple off the front) and cheekpieces helped him as well as he races a little bit lazily. A little bit nicer ground helped as well, it was very deep ground the last day (in Cork). I'm not saying he needs good ground, but deep winter ground is probably a little too much for him.

After race at Leopardstown Thu, 20th Jul, 2023 (1st)
I thought going around the bend he was in a little bit of bother but when he got a bit of daylight, and he got a crack into him, he quickened away well,. I've always liked him, he's still a raw green horse and he's going to keep improving. I'm not sure where we'll go with him next, the soft ground wasn't a problem to him there. He's a very simple, straightforward horse and hopefully he'll keep on the upward curve. Mentally he still hasn't come yet, he's very babyish.
