She jumped and settled and he (Kennedy) said he couldn’t believe how much she picked up. He thought he had got there plenty soon enough and, when he asked her, she picked up well. We are delighted with her. She will be better on better ground — the whole family want better ground. She is the only one of them that is happy on that soft ground. She will probably come back here for the novice hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival. We might as well, as she is still a novice. She jumps very slick and they (geldings) will have to give her 7lb. Then we will probably wait for Fairyhouse, which is early this year, for the mares’ Grade One. That will be kind of her programme.

She’s been declared twice and I couldn’t run her because of the ground. She did it nicely and Shane said she was always in control. We are going to run her in the Lismullen Hurdle and then either the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot or Leopardstown at Christmas. We can look at the Flat with her next year but I wouldn’t be running her on good to firm ground.

it is great to ride a quality mare like this and it's not every day when you're flicking through form and see '2nd to Ballyburn'. It was a pleasure to put my leg across her and obviously a pleasure to ride for the trainer and owner. She switched off, stuck out her head and did what she had to do having jumped fluently throughout. It is grand to see her settling and hopefully she will come on from it.

she is a second-season novice so has got the experience from last year and unlike the rest of the family, goes on that heavy ground. She's hardy, won going away and quickened up great. I don't know where we'll go, she might get an entry in the mares race at Christmas (Grade 3 Kerrymount Mares Hurdle at Leopardstown) and then there is one at the end of January (Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse). We'll look at anything over 2m4f or 2m5f and I might try and find a three-mile race in England. The mares' novice at Cheltenham is only two miles so I'd rather wait and go to Fairyhouse for the 2m4f Grade 1 - that would be her aim in the spring.

It's lovely to get a maiden hurdle and she did it right today, she relaxed today,. In Down Royal she was like a lunatic over the first two and galloped straight into them. She actually schooled at the Curragh on Tuesday, jumped 12 hurdles, and it just took the edge off her. She went in the ground, heavy is not really for that family. She'll go along the mares route and it'll be two-and-a-half miles. She has black-type in bumpers and now we'll try and get black-type over hurdles for her, she's a beautifully bred filly. She's quite strong, she's not as small as the other ones. She's bigger than most of her family. She was like a little tiger today walking around here and it's great to get it.

It’s some family and you can’t beat breeding! She’s tough and we kind of got it wrong in Gowran where she stayed on really well and we didn’t make enough use of her.

That was a bit unexpected. She's bred in the purple and we'd done as much as we could with her at home, she was ready to just have a run today,. She won like a smart filly. She's a big lady, I'll let mum and Gerry decide, but I wouldn't imagine we'll go to Punchestown. She's a lovely filly and it's great for Gerry to have her as he sold all the mares two years ago. He has her and two others. It's great he has another good one.
