Limerick Sat, 22nd Jun, 2024  One Boss she isn't long with me and worked well a couple of times on grass on Walsh's Hill. She is in foal to Bayside Boy and the whole thing was trying to get her to win. I was tempted by running her in the other fillies' race today with less runners but chanced this race, hoping for a nice draw. We ended up with a terrible drawn but all the horses are coming wide and Declan gave her a lot of confidence and gave her a lovely patient ride. That's all she wanted.

Cork Fri, 14th Jun, 2024  Zarra Ellis I'm delighted for the breeders Jimmy Murphy and Redpender Stud. He was head travelling lad to Paddy Mullins, loves his horses and is a very cute and clever man. Ciara had to mind the fort at home but his two lads are here so this is great. She is from a good family so it is important to get the win. I thought she was more suited to six or seven (furlongs) but she was in her comfort zone and in a lovely rhythm today and finished the race out very well.

Leopardstown Thu, 13th Jun, 2024  Jancis They went very hard up front. Billy said she jumped smart but he just wanted to settle her in,. She was a bit free and leery, the road is about 100 yards after the stalls, so he just wanted to get her into a nice rhythm. She's a bit nervous and the whole thing about today was to get her started. The owner has been very patient with her and we wanted to get her started, give her a good day out and see where we go from there. It's a beautiful track and it's riding lovely, there is a lovely long straight. She turned in and Billy said he gave her a chance and she just lengthened the whole way to the line and she loved it. How good the race was, I don't know. She's been doing that at home but she's just a little bit leery, she's nervous and hasn't got confidence in herself. That will do her the world of good, she only got one flick there. Nancy Sexton sent her to me. Those colours are 100 years old in Chile and it's the first time they've been seen here in Ireland so it's a great pleasure to train a winner first time out for Arturo. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards with her.

Tipperary Wed, 29th May, 2024  Party Dress She always worked well but hadn't run well in her two runs. She worked well on good ground the last day so I was disappointed the rain came but there weren't many options so I decided to run her. . She is big honest filly and was sent over to Ian McCarthy (pre-trainer) so she could jump a hurdle. . My wife and her good friend Susan Archdeacon own her between them and they're delighted.

Curragh Sun, 26th May, 2024  Ocean Jewel They went no gallop and she was a bit fresh early on but Billy got her settled and she finished out well. I’m delighted with that. We’ll go on to Royal Ascot now for the Duke Of Cambridge. She’s won a Group 3 and a Group 2 now and that’s very important as she’s well bred and it’s great for Al Shira’aa Farms. The owners have been very patient and have waited since the Matron for this. I said to wait for good ground. There were a few races that we probably should have entered her in but she would have had to carry a Group 3 penalty and I just said it wasn’t fair on her and we’d wait for this and it would be a nice pipe-opener for Royal Ascot. She stayed the mile well. Once she settles early, she’ll stay it no bother.
