I loved the way when he made the mistake at the second-last, he (Kennedy) squeezed him and he let him back on to the bridle. I’d say he is a nice horse. I thought it was a good performance, he quickened off them. He has a great attitude and a great way of racing, he is so laid-back.

You'd imagine we would go to the Lawlor's now (Grade 1 at Naas in January).

Clonmel Thu, 24th Oct, 2024  Straight Home The syndicate (Whitegrass Racing Syndicate) haven't had a winner since Dads Lad won in Cheltenham two years ago this weekend, so they deserve that. Liam Cullinan, who runs the Midlands-based syndicate, has been with us since I started riding, so I'm delighted for them.

Listowel Fri, 27th Sep, 2024  Cahirdown Boy The whole secret to Cahirdown Boy is to throw the reins at him, as it makes him settle: if you grab any hold of him, he will arrive at the second-last fence but his race will have been run. Once you throw the reins at him, he will settle. Sean did a marvellous job and while we weren't going to lead with (front-runner) Kilashee in the race, as long as the horse was relaxed he was going to come home well. That is why I wanted Sean to ride him. Sean Curran is a wonderful owner from Spiddle and has had three Kerry National winners for me. We go back a long way and while unfortunately he wasn't able to come today, his son Sean is here and will be more than happy to collect the trophy. Gaelic Des Chastys really loves quick ground but got away with it today.

Listowel Wed, 25th Sep, 2024  Flooring Porter What do you say, it's brilliant. He went hard and I have to say I was praying him across every fence on the last circuit,. He just kept the revs up and it was a brilliant performance.

Ballinrobe Mon, 26th Aug, 2024  Lucky Viv She deserved to get her turn. She was wrong earlier in the year, she was tying up, but she came back to herself in Killarney and improved a bit for that run. She's a genuine mare who'll probably go handicapping now.

Killarney Thu, 22nd Aug, 2024  Miss Fourie Her form this year was good and she ran a cracker at Galway but before that race, she ran off the bend at Sligo when I think she should have won and at Tramore the last day, I thought it was an easy target but she did the exact same thing. She is just a little clever but is grand going this direction and is a lovely filly. . To be honest I was 50-50 on whether to run or not, due to the rain, but I said to Aisling that we might as well chance it as her season could be over if we get much more rain after this. It worked out great and I'm delighted for Jake who is a good little rider. She'll be a grand filly over fences next year.

Wexford Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Three By Two I rode her the last day when I'd say the trip was a little bit sharp for her and today's step back up in trip suited. She was in her comfort zone everywhere and the easier ground helped too. I do a bit of schooling for Denis, I know his sister Bernadette, brother Peter and their mother Kathleen well so it is nice to ride a winner for them, I live near to them and they'll get a great kick out of that.
