Blackmore on the mark again with Ice
That's my first winner from my new yard at Lord Waterford's Curraghmore Estate and it's a great facility to have. I've 25 in at the moment and eight or nine more to come for the winter. That was this fellow's Gold Cup today and while he had run well in a bumper, was hobdayed since and had run twice with a tongue-tie since.
Well-backed Bally makes all under Heskin
She is tough, fierce honest and consistent and Barry (Connell, owner) is a big fan. I'll talk to Barry but I'm not sure where we'll go next. She isn't one for real heavy ground and needs a bit of juice - she runs well every day.
Afatcat lands a touch under Meyler for Mahon
The summer has been frustrating for him but it's nobody's fault it rains! It's hard to predict and Paul Townend said he'd have won his last three if he had his ground. It was more his ground today and Donagh gave him a cool ride, and almost too cool in fact, as I thought he had overdone it coming down the hill. He's a chaser and would be well suited to a flat track like Liverpool, over two miles.
Icy just prevails
Heskin doubles-up aboard smart Promise
Her big aim is the Munster National on October 11th and today's race was the only one for her before then. Davy Russell (regular rider) said not go run in the Kerry National as it (Listowel) would be too sharp and she also needs a bit of distance
Bride bounces back to his best
Lady just beats Blues in the bumper
Sarah gave her a good ride and Joseph was happy with her at home. Sarah rode her differently today and dropped her in and in fairness to her she couldn't hold on to her any longer.
