Leighinmohr takes the opportunity to stay unbeaten
He won a point-to-point last year and we took him to Musselburgh for better ground. We were going to go back over to Ayr but we got word that the ground was heavy there. He came out of Musselburgh really well and we wanted to run him again but he is more of a summer horse really. The ground there was on the slow side for him but he showed he can battle.
No problems for Charlie's Vic
That was straight-forward enough. I was just a bit worried that it came a bit soon after her last run (a Punchestown win a fortnight back). She had to make it a gallop in case she got caught out. A 5-horse race like that can be a bit messy. She's still young and being by Old Vic she probably won't mature fully until she gets older.
Oscar Hill slaughters the opposition
It was a bit of a bike race. Paul said he was worried coming down the hill that he might have another circuit to go, he was that far in front.
Call Box now 2 from 3 at Downpatrick
We're pleased with that today and his target all season has been the Ulster National (comes up on March 25th). He's a funny little horse and likes a bit of company. He hasn't that much experience either. (GC & EM)
Doran not Undone by last flight mistake
Elliott happy with Downpatrick double ahead of next week
That was grand though again it wasn't a great race. The owner (Mrs McConnell) has been with me since before I even had a licence, when I was training point-to-pointers.
