Pixie gets the job done in Sligo opener
Tough Focussed follows up on Galway win
I took a bit of a chance running him here as the handicapper put him up four pounds but he was running under a five pound penalty. I wanted to run him in a 0-75 though, as that could be a distant memory in the future. He loves hard work and I think he is only just coming to himself. Jim (Bolger) texted me after he won in Galway saying ‘Maith an Fear'. He is in the Tattersalls Sales Race at the Curragh on August 24th and it is a race I would really like to win. If I could win that my bank manager could come off the tranquilisers!
Friendless Bainne scores for Gray & Swan
Oxx takes the Connacht Oaks with Kerisa
She handled the ground well, it is quite dead out there. She was idling a bit in front and was pulling up from 100 yards out. She deserved that as she had plenty of good placed form. Additional reporting by Alan Magee
Another for King as Zafarqand obliges
He will go hurdling and we will be aiming him at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.
Saker scores on handicap debut for Murtagh
The blinkers helped and the mile and a half. He is a horse that has always had plenty of ability and the blinkers helped him concentrate tonight.
Double for Hayes as Cheval does it again
Chris rode her the last day and he said to leave the blinkers off her. She is not bad when she gets her ground. She has been a great old servant and we will wait for soft ground before running her again.
