Winner Nigg Bay is claimed-back following opening race win
he has his little issues with the stalls and it’s more impatience than anything else. He’s a good horse up here, loves the surface and I don’t think he’s ever run a bad race here. He’s typical of the owner (David Spratt). He restocks at the end of the year and he’s here to be claimed for anyone. These races are great and if he is claimed then the best of luck to the next person that gets him and if not we’ll be happy to take him home.

'Magic' steers Carabass to fifth win and Counting
he reacted to the second flu vaccine that was mandatory and it took a bit of time to get over that. Then he started being slow out of the stalls when he finally came right. We used the hood the last three times and it’s worked a dream. Usually I leave him off this time of the year as he starts to peter off but because he missed the early part of the season I said we’d go to Dundalk and see what happens. I knew the last day that he really liked it, and he was in great form and had no weight today. He was pushed wide the last day and otherwise he could have gone very close. Sometimes he’s better in these better races because they go a nice gallop which suits him.
Coakleys on the mark with multiple winner Munfallet
it’s about time I got it right on him, and if it was any other trainer I would have lost the ride a long time ago!. My dad does a great job with them. He wouldn’t be as straight forward as Park Row (eight-time winner) and you have to cod him along. The last twice I didn’t want to take his enthusiasm off him but it just played out that he wasn’t getting home. It worked out well today. I got into a nice position and he travelled away well, picked up and has done it nicely. He’s a horse that was rated higher in his earlier days, so we knew he had the ability it was just trying to get it out of him. Hopefully he’ll get a bit of confidence from that and there might be another one in him.
Hayes completes Dundalk double
the last day Chris said she took a blow in the Curragh, so we fancied her coming here today and she’s done it nicely.
Foley takes the winning 'spare' on Spelga
he’s a slow learner like myself! . He lacked enough weight for Ronan (Whelan) to ride him and Shane (Foley) has been lucky in those colours before and found a lovely slot there from a wide draw. That’s his trip and he handles the ground so we’ll keep him tipping away here over the winter.
Pak Army wins Dundalk's finale
he ran over hurdles in Gowran the last day and got a dirty cut behind which held him up for ten days or so but he loves being fresh. He seems to love here and we’ll definitely be back again. Rory said he won well and galloped away well to the line. He won over a mile and a half here before. He has plenty of boot and I’m delighted with that.
