Bellick keeps McConnell's good run going
He ran well on his first handicap run and the only thing we were worried about was the ground,. It was a lot different and some of those Maysons like ease. Colin said he wouldn't want it any quicker and they've done a good job watering. He's only learning the sprint game, it takes a bit of getting used to. Hopefully he's progressive. He's a nice little horse, and wasn't expensive, so I'm delighted with that. It's just getting them to where they fit in. It takes a while sometimes, especially with the horses you buy as yearlings. They are not all going to win maidens up the Curragh so you have to find their grade. They're healthy and if they're healthy you have a chance.
Odds-on Wings scores for Ballydoyle
She had a good run the last day in what was probably a good maiden,.
Understate makes it third time lucky
Sunday was no harm and was an ideal prep for this,. He's a nice horse and I was hoping he could go and do that. I'm thrilled and he looks progressive. I bought him as a foal and it's nice when it works out. I'd say he'd like a couple of days off now!
Donnacha O'Brien doubles up at Navan
She was a bit unlucky the last day. She won well before that. Things worked out well today and she won nicely,. I'd say she's goes on any ground, she's very versatile. She has a little look when she hits the front but hopefully we can get another one or two into her.

Cries of 'Up Monaghan' ringing out still
He's not a bad little horse. The first day he ran for us he finished second at Dundalk and he was very unlucky as he was the winner before the line and after the line,. He disappointed me big time the last day in Tipperary. I had to put a line through it because I couldn't see what went wrong. The trip and the ground, maybe he didn't handle it. He's a nice horse and he jumps well, he could jump a hurdle. I don't know what to do with him now, I didn't think he'd do it as well as he did there. Hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him. It's a great syndicate. They are from all over the country, from Roscommon, Cavan, Louth and from Monaghan. It's great to get syndicates like that together. They've had great enjoyment today and it's been a great day for it. Everyone in the syndicate knew Oliver (Brady) and 'Up Monaghan' was one of Oliver's favourite sayings. There are eight shares and we are all a big family.
