Moss Tucker leads home Condon one-two
We've asked him to run two quick races before as he is a very relaxed horse and is very tough. He is very likeable, has got better with racing and has a good record at this track with three wins and a second from four starts. Shane (Foley) said he was always holding them and always comfortable. I thought Quarantine Dreams ran with good credit after Ascot, where he was drawn on the wrong side. It was different ground conditions and it is never ideal running two together but the race suited both horses and both connections were independently keen to run. Moss Tucker will have a break now for a little while Quarantine Dreams may run in the Phoenix Sprint and we'll campaign him in conditions' races, Listed and Group 3s and six furlongs would be even better for him.
Wodao clings on in Listed thriller
He is a tough horse, tries his best and I think he is improving. He didn't get an easy lead today and was hassled on the front and that started to bite in the last half furlong. He is uncomplicated, has plenty pace and is very genuine so we jumped and let him at it. There was very little between him and The Antarctic and my two- year-olds are improving with every run, so it is good to see him do that. He is a solid, fast horse, we'll have plenty fun with him and there is the (Group 3) Molecomb Stakes over five furlongs at Goodwood which we will look at next.
Harry's Hill brings up his third career success
He has won on soft and we have been running him on fast ground and it is all about the ground with him. I knew coming here we'd be some way safe. At this level you have to tick all the boxes and the ground is the key to him. The draw didn't help us but he is tough and genuine. We needed that as we were hitting the cross-bar and I needed to stick one in the back of the net.
O'Brien and Ryan double up with La Dolce Vita
She did it well, handled the ground and is a very decent filly. She stayed the trip well and it is nice to get a win into her. There was no pace, they quickened up well and runner-up (Hans Andersen) obviously ran on well but it is hard around here if you don't have a previous run. I thought it would take a very good one to beat her first time out, like Dad's was (Aidan O'Brien's Deneuve) but she is a decent Stakes filly. We'll step back up to Stakes company next and she could go for the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown.
Heffernan has Crawley smiling after hatching a plan
We were scratching our heads after her last few runs so when I took the saddle off Seamie, after weighing him out, he said he had a game plan and I had a smile on my face as he filled me with confidence. He wanted to buck her out smart, make the running and see what happens, and you've seen what happened. Seamie deserves a pat on the back. She is a big filly who she really lets herself down on that ground and handles it better than others. I don't think she'd like the track at Galway and she wants good galloping tracks.
Plenty of bets landed on Aristovic
They hacked around, Joey was in a nice position, was ready to attack up the straight and she did it very well. She was lonely in front but she was in front for a long time on that ground. Joey said she took a blow just before the line so maybe with the break we gave her, she needed two runs. I thought she'd be fit and well but I haven't been hard on her at home since her Ballinrobe run, so I'd imagine she will step forward again. She wouldn't have been madly in love with the ground and she is only a light little filly. I'm delighted for David Spratt and Kevin McMunigal as they bred her and many thanks to them for putting her in training with me.
Foley grabs double on Spring Morning
She had a good run here a year and a half ago and got hurt travelling in the box one day, and we had to give her a load of time off. She had two very ordinary runs over hurdles recently but bounced back today and did it well in the end. She is very keen and hard on herself so the two hurdle runs may have settled her down a bit. Hopefully she'll run in Killarney in ten days and the way she stayed on there, she will definitely go back over hurdles.
