Kahala lunges late to land mares Grade 3
Going past the stands the first time, the way she was travelling I thought she wanted easier ground to be honest,. That's as quick a ground as she'll run on for the rest of the year. She'll be a grand filly next season when she goes over fences, we'll keep her to the mares race this season. Next season when she goes over fences I think she'll really come into her own, over two-and-a-half or three miles. She's been in brilliant nick and had a great comeback run. I think she'll improve again from today, she can improve on her jumping. At home she's very slick and I think it's the ground.

Sharjah lands remarkable four-timer in Matheson
That's tremendous, it wasn't good for the heart. I didn't think he was going to get up, I just thought he was going to hang fire,. He didn't look comfortable coming around the second last bend and going to the second last hurdle I thought 'oh is it not happening today'. Patrick had to cod him and coax him before he really went for him. He said he wasn't as sharp as other years. He got pushed out on to yesterday's ground with the hurdle missing and that just blunted his speed in the last furlong but he managed enough to do it anyhow. It was a terrific race. Whether it was the ground or the wind he wasn't as sharp as he was in other years but four years running you can't expect a horse to be improving. He's been a fantastic horse for Patrick, Rich and Susannah. Rich likes Patrick riding him and they are a great team. He's a special horse for that partnership. It's extraordinary the amount of Grade 1s Patrick has ridden, he takes his chances and takes them well. We might go straight to Cheltenham now, I'll have a word with Rich and Susannah but it might be the thing to do. The Dublin Racing festival doesn't seem to work for him.
Sexton doubles up on Jonny
It was a good performance. He had me frightened as it was the plan to be mid-division but with lads like that all you can do is leave it to them,. He said he wasn't carrying him the way he wanted and he just gave him a chance, it all worked out well. He quickened up well. Today has been in my head for the past three or four months. Unfortunately the boys couldn't get over, they were all set to come, but they'll celebrate anyway.
Mullins double up with Nice Guy
That's tremendous for Patrick to win the four bumpers, it's a good thing he's on our team and we don't have to pitch up against him everyday,. I thought we had a real good bumper team, and I think Patrick felt the same, so we're very happy. We were going to go jumping but he would have to take on Sir Gerhard, Kilcruit or something like that as the hurdles are just so hot so we looked at a winners bumper. I thought we'd stick him in here and see what it turns out like. I'm delighted to get two bumpers out of him, he's six turning seven so he'll probably go jumping in the New Year. He's just been a bit weak, every time I got stuck into him he faded away a little bit and it's taken all this time for him to mature. He's probably more a hurdler than a chaser.
