Choir Practice on song under Walsh
The race broke up a good bit. We had her in Galway at the races but didn’t run her because we thought the ground was too good and then when the race opened up as it did we said we’d let her take her chance. It’s drying out again compared with yesterday.
Jock a Name to note over hurdles
We always liked him but he’s got a bit high in the handicap on the Flat and we have this to turn to now and I hope he’ll turn into a nice novice.
Off Your Rocco back to his best
Jack was very wise in Galway as he made a mistake at the first and he looked after him and gave him a good education. It paid dividends today.
'Shark' strikes with bargain buy Hewick
He’s very consistent and I was disappointed he didn’t get into the Kerry National. I also had him entered in this race so we said we’d come here.
Odds-on Robbinia wins unchallenged
Assemble lands Kerry National for O'Brien & Fitzgerald
On his form at Cheltenham this year when he was fifth in the Paddy Power (Plate) he’d a good chance. He’s always threatened he’d stay well.
O'Brien doubles up with Busselton
Ziggy wins bumper for Fahey & O'Connor
I actually thought he’d win a bumper before this. I’m delighted for the Hurley family as he’s a homebred and they still have the dam. It was very important to get a bumper for him and he’ll go on over hurdles now. He’s schooled and is ready to go. Derek said he was in right order today and he doesn’t think he’ll have any issues with trip. He is a big horse and chasing will be his game in time hopefully.
