Going - Good to Yielding. Overcast
Wee Giant makes winning hurdle debut
apart from the early mistake he jumped very well. We bought originally thinking he was well handicapped on the Flat but the plan was always to go hurdling.
Lambe Breezes to his 125th win
Breeze With Ease can be a tricky horse and missed the start a little today and then hit the front too early! However he has always showed me ability at home and we'll aim him at something similar again next.
Sunshine scores up north
Lake comes to bookmakers' aid
I am waiting for the next trainers' course to get my license but there isn't one until the new year. Lake Return can be very keen and I told Eddie (O'Connell) to drop him out and try to make him relax. He has shown be plenty at home and I was hoping he would show me more on the track. We've put in a new gallop in our base at Tramore and have eight horses in training at present.
O'Connell completes Downpatrick treble
I only have Sebadee about six weeks (formerly in the care of John Murphy) and we'll aim him at a staying novice chase next.
Galway scores at 51st attempt
I guess you could say that was a long time coming!. Galway Legend was as good as put down having broken down very badly at Kilbeggan in 2008 but I persevered with him and he came here in tip-top shape today. I was afraid of the extra rain but David (Casey) convinced me to run him here instead of leaving him off and he may now run again at Sligo next week.
