Easy win for Hearts in the opener
We thought he'd win on previous form but that was quite impressive. We will see what the handicapper does now, he'll probably go the Nursery route. There might be one for him in Gowran. I don't know how strong of a race that was but he is a very straightforward horse and he has a good attitude.
Well-backed Ravello scores for Prendergast
I think she should have won in Galway. She got knocked over and she was nearly on the floor but she finished out the race strongly. I fancied her today but I was a bit worried that it might be a bit quick for her. Bellewstown did a hell of job, it's lovely safe ground. My one tries hard and it is lovely to have a winner for Ballylinch Stud.
Local delight as Three Bells wins again
Fairyhouse, Bellewstown and Navan are the three for him. The plan is to go to Listowel next, then I'd love to go to Navan with him. When he comes to the races he doesn't behave but he is brilliant at home and I can't thank the stall handlers enough today (needed to be blindfolded going into the stalls). I thought the ground might be a bit lively for him but he got a lead the whole way and he is improving and improving.
Maudlin follows-up for Kinsella & Curtis
I thought it might be a bit early for her but I took a chance with just the five pound penalty. She might go to Killarney next week but we don't want to be too greedy.
Sweet double for Prendergast as Candy wins
I'm delighted with that. I had a feeling she might be second. Colin was very clever on her, he never gave up the rail. It was hard for David's horse as she had to give us eleven pounds and the rail, and it was probably a hell of a run from her considering. I was a little worried that five furlongs might be a bit sharp for her. She'll go six furlongs. She is in a five furlong Listed race on Saturday (at the Curragh) and if she eats up well and gets back to her weight she will run.
Speedy Summer scores for Grant & Flynn
Friendless Cullentry makes it two in-a-row
He won well but he didn't do a lot when he hit the front. We'll give him a break now and we'll look at staying handicaps later in the year.
Cool Clements gets Ted Veale up
Fair play to Steven!.
