Decorated My Life resolute at the finish
She had a nice run the first day in the Curragh and I probably overfaced her a couple of times after that. The ground is what it is and they are getting through it - better than it being tacky. I’d say we’ll leave her alone now for the year. It’s hard work up there today and I’d say she’ll get a bit further.
Stanhope still delivering in Navan
He’s a real old stalwart. I was a little bit worried that we had the wrong side of the draw (in stall 8), but Mikey did a good job to get him as far over as he could. He’s got down to a mark (51) that he can win off at his age. He’s won two for them this year and has run well a lot of times from bad draws. He likes it here and he likes that trip. He probably doesn’t get 50 yards more than that. We’ll have to have a chat about whether we take him into next year and this has probably justified giving him a go.
Magical Vision improves to get off the mark in Navan
I always liked her. She’s had her little problems which have delayed us. She’s quick and handles the ground real well. We’ll put her away and the education today will bring her on again. Hopefully we’ll get her out early next season and there are some nice pots for sprinters.

He toughed it out well in the conditions and Dylan said he’s as tough as nails and you couldn’t go far enough with him. He should be a nice, fun horse. They went very quick and I told Dylan that he’s a keen horse and don’t worry about how far you get out of the race. In this grade and on that ground it’s just a matter about stay going. There won’t be too much more for him on the Flat. We got a big improvement out of him with the ground, so we might go back over hurdles. He has a handicap hurdle mark (80) and we’ll try and exploit that too.
Molly Kaye seals double for Browne McMonagle
She’s tough and she’s hardy, and stays galloping. I ran her over a mile and a half the last day in Bellewstown and Chris (Hayes) said there is a mile and six coming up in Navan, go for it and she’ll win. The big galloping track here really suited her and I’m delighted for the owners, Garry Fleming and his wife Maj, who have stuck with me through thick and thin. She’ll go back hurdling and she likes that cut in the ground. She’s getting on in age and has a few little issues but we’re minding her like a baby.
