Need has it all on chase debut
Star leads home 1-2 for de Bromhead
He missed the last two, he wasn't as quick as the second horse, I didn't think I was going to catch him. I'd say the second horse just idled away and let me get there more than anything. That is my first ride for Henry and I ride out for him most mornings. It is nice to get the ride and winner.
Encounter gets off the mark in style
He is a lovely horse but he has just been a bit of a baby. I'd say he is probably a three miler. I think he's a good horse but I said I would take the easy route with him and let him learn as he goes along. He is green and he wanders around and gawks a bit but I'm delighted with him and he was full of running. I think he is better going left-handed. Down Royal didn't work out for him and when he got into trouble he just panicked.
Danny doubles up for mum & dad
I think it is close on forty years since the owner had his first runner and that is his first winner. I think Ferdy Murphy claimed off his first runner! So it is very exciting for him to have a winner. He is a farmer and next door neighbour at home. He has had many second but that is his first winner.
Lilly roars to victory for Power & Enright
She will probably go for the mares handicap hurdle on the Wednesday of Galway, and she might run in a chase before that. She prefers going left-handed.
Dan's the man with 41/1 treble at Wexford
I always thought he was a stayer. He never travelled today but Danny has the midas touch, and he might go to Gowran now on Saturday. We will see how he is.
Cash executes hold-up tactics on Swinging
I think he got ride of the month. He had me worried for a long time but he stayed on well at it. That's the first time I've seen him stay on for a while. He will hardly get too many pounds and Bellewstown might be his next outing. I think there is an 80 to 102 that would suit him there. We have tried riding him every way but holding him up seems to have worked today. We've held him up before and he kinda ran well but flattened out. It just all fell right for him today. He is owned by Paddy Hayes from Ballinrobe.
Latta rewarded for patience with Little Mitch
We were thinking about going for a 2m3f bumper at Limerick with her but we will have to review that now. I'd say she will probably go hurdling.
