Caffrey & McGuinness team up again with Rosie Rock
Adam's 10lb claim went yesterday, he is a good kid and is riding with confidence. She is one of those fillies that will pop up once or twice a year and is a good fun filly. The owner wants to sell her and she is there for anyone who wants her. She is genuine enough and will always get a couple of races every year. Tom Heatrick, the owner, is from Armagh and also bred her and is a good man who has had plenty horses with me through the years.
'Cool' Gilligan scores on Papilio
I took a chance running her in the Group 2 the other day and I always thought she needed to be running further. She was running against proper sprinters and they took her off her feet and was on her head the whole way. Danny was cool, I told him to sit and sit and sit and have a one pop at the Ballydoyle horse (runner-up Greenland) inside the furlong pole. He said she didn't kill herself when she got there but she is a nice filly. We might go for the Flame Of Tara Stakes next (at the Curragh, over a mile).

Cigamia takes Listed feature for McCreery & Lee
It is beautiful ground but Billy said it was even a tad slow for her. She reared as the stalls opened at Ascot - it was 30 fillies, she is impatient and was in the stalls a while but I thought she ran a lovely race on quick ground. Billy said she idled a bit when she hit the front today but fought back. Everyone was fighting for their position and you won't get anything easy here. She was trapped wide but it is chopped up down the inner. It is onwards and upwards, she is a fast ground filly and will develop into a lovely filly for next year as she is only maturing. It is an important win for the pedigree and the Niarchos family (Flaxman Stables Ireland) stand Karakontie in America. It is an important Listed win for him and he had a Group 3 winner in America yesterday. It is lovely to train a winner for them and Billy is riding out of his skin.
Veteran Geological records 16th career win on 138th start
What a servant. He has now won every year for us since we bought him. He has been leading the two year olds at home all winter and it is has really sweetened him up. He has been hammering them all, except for one, and has got the appetite back. Donagh reckons he mightn't be finished yet. It was getting harder at the higher level, he probably lost his confidence but as he has come back down the ratings, his confidence has come back and it was his first ever time running in a 0-65. We were hoping that would be enough to get him across the line.
Gracesolution continues her progress under Jake Coen
We were delighted she won in Sligo and she only received 3lb, which gave her a chance. She is in the right bracket and whether she can step up or not is another thing but it was lovely to win two with her. She is a grand filly, handles that ground fine and we'll give her another go in a 0-65 now - she probably won't get into Galway. She was keen and didn't get home in her bumpers and has learned how to race properly now. She is related to Castlegrace Paddy who won a flat maiden here yesterday at 11 years of age.
