Favourite pulls-up as Dallin delivers
he’s done it really nicely, and has been in great form his last couple of runs. He loves that ground. We thought the draw would be a big problem but he has plenty of early speed and we got a good position. He put the race to bed really nicely. I’m very fortunate to be with Denis; he gave me my first winner seven years ago, and to come back and ride a winner for him at Galway, at the Curragh and at Listowel is brilliant. We work so hard in that yard and it’s nice to get the winners on these days. The horses are in flying form and that’s due to the hard work of all the lads at home. I’m lucky I get to ride them in races.
Hayes doubles up on well-backed Franklyn
It wasn’t the plan to make it. I was hoping to get a bit of cover but he bounced out and Chris said he loved it and handled the soft as well. The last day he was too fresh and keen and didn’t get home. He is a keen horse but today he settled great. They went very steady the last day and it was a bit too far. The lads at home have done a great job as he is a bit kinky.

Progressive Darver Star completes a hat-trick
He was supposed to win on ratings and it was a good performance. I don’t know if he really enjoyed that ground but he got away with it. When he jumps a fence he might improve again, and there is a good chance he could go chasing this season.
Cromwell & Moore complete Listowel double
the way she won her bumper she’s a proper mare but she’s very difficult. She pulled very hard today. Johnny gave her a brilliant ride. She missed a few hurdles and that helped as it got her to back off a bit. If you could keep a lid on her she is potentially a very nice mare. Even at home she’s hard work. Joey Dunne rides her every day and Ian Donoghue, two big strong lads. She actually has to be ridden out on her own. She has some black type already in a bumper, so we could look for more over hurdles.
Gilligan rides first winner in Listowel's bumper
the form has stood up and he’s never run a bad race. This horse thrives on racing. Jack has never ridden a bad race, and he did exactly what he was told there. It’s Jack’s first winner, and he hasn’t ridden in ten races yet. He might change to conditional sometime during the winter because he can do very light weights. He’s 16 and has just done his junior cert. When he was younger he wasn’t interested in racing at all, and next thing he took off and is flying now. It’s his day.
