Bitter-sweet win for Gigginstown
Sponsor gets a winner on the board at Gowran
We got him over the line eventually. He jumped better off that ground and he is the type of horse that'll never win too far. We had been running him over two miles but Barry said he probably wants a trip and all he does is stay.
Pilots proving consistent and versatile
He's very consistent and he'll go down the handicap route now. He'll stay going during the summer and he likes that ground. (TW & EM)
Bullet on the rise
That was a fair effort. I said at Limerick when he won that I was concerned about the heavy ground and he picked up well today. It's always tricky going into your first handicap but he was schooling very well. We'll discuss it with the owners and we'll either go to Punchestown or put him away. There's a two and a half mile handicap on the Saturday or a novice race there for him.
Toostrong appreciates the better ground
Purty beats Vagabond again
He jumps and he gallops and the better ground is the key to him.
Ebazziyr looks smart on debut at Gowran
He's a very good horse and I've been waiting on that ground. I think he's a right horse but he had to do it here like what he'd been showing us at home.
3 for Mullins at Gowran
He timed it better this time as he was a little bit unlucky last time (narrowly beaten at this course). He's probably a slowly maturing sort and he seems to prefer this ground. The slower pace did him no harm and for a point-to-pointer he has a nice turn of foot. He may go jumping now . we'll have to have a think about it.
