Royal Ascot-bound newcomer lands Navan's opener
she's going to be an early two-year-old so I suppose we'll run maybe once more and think about something in Ascot for her. Her brother (Castle Star, currently standing at Kilkenny's Capital Stud) was a very good horse but got beaten first time out, so she's done better than him!. she was a little bit green, a little bit slow away and then ran around a bit. She should come forward for that as she's only worked once on grass so should improve. I was in the car with Seamie (Heffernan) coming up so I'll talk more in depth with him going home but if you get five (furlongs) here, you'll get six most places. We might look for a winners' race, we'll see what's there and how she comes out of it.
Twomey's Air Force One wins on Irish debut
he joined us last year and he's gotten stronger since he came. He's been showing a bit of pace and it looked like a nice place to start. We had planned on starting him in this race when it was originally due to be run in Tipperary but weather dictated that we came here. We were waiting for this to be changed to somewhere else. I think he's a five-furlong sprinter. He was tough there and we'll see what the handicapper does. Hopefully we'll have a bit of fun with him for the summer.
Champion collects with enterprising win on Branding
it felt easy for him and is a horse with plenty ability. We didn't think it would take him this long to win and we'd have been disappointed if he couldn't do something today off 69. I didn't think there was a bias (in ground conditions) and it is where ever the best horse goes to be honest. I thought when I was walking it earlier it was much the same the whole way across. to be honest he's been disappointing and I thought he would have won a maiden for us last year but maybe he was just a bit immature and weak. He's a good lump of a horse. We weren't really sure what his trip was but Michael was adamant he had enough speed for five (furlongs). He put the blinkers on so we kept it very straightforward. He ran straight and through the line so we can't knock him today and hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him.
Espoir opens account for Barcoe
Dylan gave him a brilliant ride and he came on nicely from the first day,. He's a lovely horse and hopefully he can keep going forward. That was only his fifth run and he learnt a lot from the last day. Hopefully he'll progress as the year goes on.

Owner/breeder Drion provides Lee with Navan double
I thought the favourite was always going to go on, because she had come home late the last day and was drawn one today. I told Billy to follow her, get her to relax and if we could have one go, to try and rob it - and that's what we did. But in fairness she went away at the line. She tried hard, is very honest and Billy thought she loved that bit-better ground. She's a lovely big filly and is a grand filly. Francois is a breeder so we'll try and do something black-type wise for her.
Relation to Dubai Millennium belatedly wins at 18th attempt
she always promised plenty and had a few good runs but had health problems and it took a long time to sort them out. We actually sent her to the sales but we weren't getting enough for her (unsold at €5,000) and the boys said they'd hold on to her. She worked very well last week but she always did work well and is a well-bred mare. We thought last year she'd come out and win after finishing third at Tipperary, but things went wrong and it didn't work out - that's horses for you!. she loves top of the ground and she's going jumping as she has schooled over hurdles. Robbie Power had her for a while, schooling her, and said she had plenty of scope. She's in a mares maiden hurdle at Tipperary on Thursday but we'll see how she comes out of this.
