Bleu gets through mud in opener
I'm delighted. He wasn't right the last day at Gowran and conditions suited him today,. He had no weight on his back and a good man aboard. We'll find something similar for him. I think he'll go on better ground so we'll keep him going during the summer. There wouldn't be anything at Punchestown for him.
Fingal lands gamble for Casey
I thought she had no chance. I couldn't believe the ground. She's only a small filly but she did better than I expected,. I was hoping they would call it off this morning but I'm glad they didn't now. I was delighted with her run at Naas last time and that's why we decided to come here. She'll go to Punchestown now.
Magnanimity too strong in Bobbyjo
I though he came here with a real good chance as he handles the heavy ground,. He'll go to Punchestown. He's in a couple of the better races and will run in one of them. He's a nice horse who is just coming to himself. His run last time at Navan was very good. He had to make the running as there was no pace. He finished third and would have won in another 50 yards. We brought him to Cheltenham but he got balloted out of his race. He's an out-and-out chaser and we thought that from the start.
Golden proves best in Dan Moore
He just loves this ground - it's the key to him,. It's nice compensation for Cheltenham. Hopefully I'll try and get him back for Punchestown if I can. The Champion Chase is there for him. Jayo just didn't jump the second last and that put him out of the race.
Hinged makes all to land big pot
I'm absolutely thrilled. He's a good horse and we bred him ourselves. It's wonderful to get a big race with him,. He's a pleasure to have. He's a fairly wound up little horse but always performs when he goes racing. The intention is to go chasing. He's ten now and I think we'll give him a year or two chasing.
Beantown battles well in Hunters
Some of his form in the past is very respectable. His run here last year behind Forest Leaves was good enough. He seemed in good form coming here,. He was also second at Cheltenham a while ago (National Hunt Chase). Instead of blinkers we tried cheekpieces and it might have helped.
Priests battles well to claim bumper
He was good to win the battle in the end,. The last day it was snowing and the reins slipped through the young lad's hands and he got away on him. We thought he would have been closer but for that. We were hoping for a good bit of improvement and got it. He's a lovely horse and loves that ground. We'll see what happens. There are winners bumpers at Punchestown and once the ground stays soft we'll keep on. We might even give him some experience over hurdles.
