Easee for Take
That ground really suited her and the win hasn't come as a total surprise as she is magic to jump. She won on the flat at Nottingham and she went very well on the heavy ground that day so that's why we're here. Prunella is in Leopardstown with Our Girl Salley and I thought I'd drawn the short straw in coming here but it has worked out great. The owner, David Fitzgerald is a Limerick man so that adds extra spice to the mix.
Surely another one for the punters
She was unlucky a few times and she was second to Premier Victory here one day. She done the job well, got her jumping together and found plenty for Alan when he asked her. She was clearing her hurdles so well that she'd nearly jump a fence at some stage but for now she'll probably go for a handicap. Helen O'Reilly, the winning owner, is a neighbour of ours from Enniscorthy so it is great to train a winner for her.
Another Limerick win for Mullins/Boyd & Tumelty
She's a very nice mare - in fact they're two very good mares (Golden Sunbird as well) - and hopefully she'll go on to run in those mares' races later on.
Chimneys lights up Limerick
When you have them right you're halfway there. He is obviously fit and well and the win on St Stephen's Day left him one hundred per cent right. I'd suppose he'll have a break now for a fortnight or three weeks and we'll see what the handicapper does. He could go back chasing either.
Tough Alainn defies market-drift
I couldn't believe the price he was as I had him as one of my bankers of the week. A tougher finish would have suited him last time when he was fourth to Quel Esprit at Cork. If it had been a stiffer finish that day he would have got a good share of the minor money. He is a very tough horse and he'd stay galloping all day if you had a man on board capable of doing the driving. He won his point-to-point first time out and I was hoping to pick up a hurdle with him - now he has won two of them and might be capable of more. He'll make a good staying chaser in time.
Bay outstays the opposition
Dustman scores on 2nd Limerick run
That's Sean's first winner for me. He is riding out for me in the mornings and I'm delighted for him. Annette McMahon had him and when she went to France she left him behind and told me to run him away there. My sister Mary owns him and his run the other day, when he was giving Monaco Springs weight, left him spot on for today.
Tullintain sluices up under O'Connor
He is 16.2 or 3, a fine big horse that won three point-to-points. He got beat in Killeagh one day but the track there would have been too tight for him. He was gone off the boil by the time that he finished down the field in a bumper at Tipperary and we left him off after that. I was a little concerned that he might need this but he had a nice bit done at home. There was no winners of three for him in points and those opens are like top handicaps at the moment. He'll go for another hunter chase now.
