Forge prevails in opening thriller
It was a good performance from her as she hadn't run since Punchestown, and it was her first run over hurdles,. She jumped great, but early on she was a bit keen, and she was jumping a bit up in the air. When he needed her she jumped great. I'm really pleased because that ground is heavy and she obviously goes on it. She really was fresh and well. She is in the Royal Bond and she will probably end up going there. It's a nice distance and she'll end up getting a seven pound mares allowance.
Sutton Manor off the mark for Elliott
He won it grand but it probably wasn't the strongest race in the world. I'd say we will step him up in trip now, and he'll go to three mile,. He'll jump a fence in time too. He was bit sloppy over the last couple, Bryan said he might be better with a bit of company. It was only his second run for me so I don't know a whole lot about him. He was a big weak horse and he just needed time. He'll be a grand horse to jump a fence in time.

Drama keeps surprising King
We are even surprising ourselves at this stage. We had lots of problems with him after his point-to-point win. He had his wind done in November of 2015, and then we had to redo it early this year. He surprised us the day in Gowran when he won at 100/1,. I started to ride him myself in January. I hadn't ridden thoroughbreds in four years, I had no work rider so I started to ride him myself. I lost four stone as a result, and he has now won four races! . He enjoys what he does. We will give him a small break now. He handled that heavy ground although we thought he might not. Mark said he had no problem on it. We only have two horses in training and we've six races won between them this year. He might come back at Limerick over Christmas. We might try him over hurdles, but he is rated 113 over hurdles so it's slightly tougher.
Mons gains valuable track success
She is some mare. That's what we wanted this season, it's her last season and we wanted to win on the racetrack. At the end of the season she will go on the track again to finish up,. She is a very quirky mare, but for some reason she was very quiet today. It was touch and go whether I'd declared her, but I thought that she is as good as any of them, so I just declared her. She would much prefer quick ground, but as she has got older she has learned to handle that ground. Richie said she heard the other horse coming before he did. She battled all the way to the line then. We got a great buzz last year with her being joint champion mare (with Carrigeen Acebo). She will tip away now, and might run in a mares Open at Lisronagh in ten days time. She won there last year. We will leave her off then until the new year. She has always been a bit better left-handed and I thought this track would suit her.
