It is great to get a winner at the Listowel festival, they are hard to get. She did it well today, the bit of rain last night kept the ground on the slow side which she loves. As Leigh says, she is quick from the gate and into her stride and is able to keep up the momentum on soft ground. For a low-grade filly she is honest, that is her level and Leigh gave her a great ride. She is due for a rise after her last run and another for today but we'll have a look now. As long as she keeps her form, we'll keep her busy between now and the end of the season. She pulled a muscle earlier in the year and had the summer off as it was so dry, but she has paid her way again this year.
Drombeg Duke up and running for McCarthy
Austin (Leahy) did a great job with him and maybe the change in scenery sparked him up again. He had a lovely run for us and I though he was tailor-made for this track and trip. He is a lovely straightforward horse, I worried that stall 15 would be our undoing but he jumped smarter than I thought he would and he was in the box seat and it looked straightforward from where I was looking. We did an interview a week ago for the Listowel Racecourse and tipped him up so I think plenty of the locals took our advice by the sounds of it there!

After his last run (runner-up at Leopardstown), he looked like he should go and win today and thankfully he has. Hopefully we will go and look for a handicap for him next. His dam loved an ease in the ground and we anticipated he would handle it well.
Plan comes to fruition for Petticoat Rule
That is fantastic and today was the plan for a while. She was third in Cork in a good enough handicap and I said we'd chance coming here but even if she was placed I'd have been delighted. She is so tough and Wayne gave her a brilliant ride. She is not ground-dependent, goes on anything and is so honest. The majority of the syndicate (Seconds To Spare Syndicate) are here and they'll enjoy tonight.
