Bolger introduces nice newcomer
Kevin (Manning) said he was very green in the end and was galloping up in the air a bit. He'll come on a lot for the run,.
Pleasing beginning for Nancy & O'Sullivan
She had form in England last year and did that a couple of times before finishing second or third,. We have her about five or six weeks and she's been tipping away at home. She seems happy being out in front so we let her mosey along. I thought she was a bit free early on but two furlongs down she had them all at it. She can be a bit fussy at home but when she's in front she's happy and not pulling and fighting. She was owned by Godolphin and has a nice pedigree. That's my first runner from my new yard and first winner.
O'Brien colt on the improve
It took a couple of runs for him to get things together,. He won nicely today and was probably entitled to win on his last run. Hopefully he'll progress and he could go to Dundalk. I think they went a nice gallop and that probably suited him as he should stay well. His brother (Table Rock) got better with time and I think there is better to come from him. I think he'll be a bit better than a handicapper but it might just take time.
Badger Daly the boss at Gowran again
They all have to yield to Prince at Gowran
He has a few little issues with his back and that's why his form on the Flat is a lot better, even though his form over hurdles is good,. He has very bad kissing spines and needs a lot of treatment. We were going to finish up today but we might have a rethink. I wish there were more of these mile six Flat races. The bit of juice in the ground helped - the boys say it's riding slow.
Prendergast & Hayes tops in 4 runner race
He made hard enough work of it but the second is a handy enough horse,. There wasn't much between them in the Guineas trial earlier in the year and there was the same ground between them there. We're keeping him and we'll probably look at a race like the Gladness early in the spring with an ease in the ground. We'll see where he goes from there. Hopefully he'll progress over the winter.
Rock gives O'Briens 2 at Gowran
He's genuine. He's been off the track for a while and he's entitled to improve from the run,.
