Rhythm King has right moves for Gowran Park
He did it well. He's an Elzaam and that's his first time getting a bit of soft ground. The line came in time and Gavin gave him a brilliant ride. I'm delighted for the Lennons, they've had a few horses with me and this is the first winner they've had. He's a home-bred as well. We'll see what's coming up at the back-end of the year, it will be ground dependent. If there is a race there, and the ground is soft, we will kick on there providing he's okay.
Immutable forges home under Carroll
That was great and I'm delighted for the new owner Ger Kervick. He's a great patron of ours and that's his first winner, hopefully we'll have many more,. He's a nice horse going forward and will probably want a mile-and-two next year as a three-year-old. We'll see what rating he gets and take it from there. Gary said it was a tough slog and he battled it out well.
Lee gets one back on Keane through Drummin Life
I'm delighted to get her to win. I probably ran in the wrong race the last day down in Thurles, she did nothing wrong. Billy gave her a lovely ride. It's the first foal out of the mare (Enjoy Life), who I trained for Frank (Fahy). She got injured after finishing second for me, so I'm delighted this filly has won for the Fahys. That's her for the year now. She's a grand filly and Billy said she was just idling there in front, she did everything lovely. Billy said she'll go on any ground and that she'd come on a ton from that again. I was a bit worried in the parade ring as that was the lightest she looked all year, so it's good that she's going on a break now.
Fools Glory rewards her backers at 33/1
She's done well since she won in Roscommon. She's a filly that has grown into herself. She was maybe disappointing in Killarney but she did it well today. She seems to like that ground. We were wondering if she needed blinkers because she's looking at stuff but Andrew said no. The last twice she hasn't jumped well but today she got out and I'd say she likes a bit of space. We'll see what is there for her, there isn't a whole lot and the season ends very quickly.
Stormy Jenn relishes testing ground in Gowran
She likes Gowran. She was third last time at Dundalk and we said we'd stick her in here today when we saw this race. She's been a good old servant and we've always thought a bit of her. When she won here last year, we got a 14lb rise and that just stopped her for a while. She handled Dundalk and we were worried about it being that bit softer here but she handled it well. Please God she might win another one for us. It's great to get one as we're only a small outfit.
Facethepuckout cruises home again for O'Callaghan
He did what he was entitled to do on the handicapper's assessment of him at the Curragh,. He came out of that race well. He's just in a good vein of form and he's sweet at the minute. On old form he was well handicapped but I'd say the handicapper will catch up with him now. He's in again at the Curragh on Sunday.
McCreery and Lee double up with impressive Blazing Skies
It's great for the Irish National Stud Racing Club. I thought she might not get that trip but, in fairness, Cathal Beale told me that she was stoutly bred on the dam's side, as she's by Sea The Stars and that all played out. Billy gave her a lovely cool ride, I told him to give her all the confidence he could. Billy is riding with confidence and he gave it to her through the saddle.
