Beau Recall overturns odds-on fav
She had a bit of a problem after she ran the first day. She ran very green then and pulled a muscle so needed a bit of time off. I always knew she would improve. I had her in a couple of races last weekend but this looked a weaker race on paper. She's very sharp at home. I bought her for the lads at Tattersalls last year and the aim was to win a race and sell her so we'll see what we do now. She'll probably get a high enough rating as it was a good race she ran in the first day.

Not Just Any Girl shows her ability at 501
She's been disappointing all along. I thought the trip might suit. We said we'd get her relaxed, take it handy, get balanced and let her come home. With her draw (in two) and claiming 7lb off I thought she had a little chance. I told him to go to the outer as you can get caught on the inside around here. It's a welcome winner.

Linger doesn't hang about in Tipperary
His jumping won it for him. He jumped brilliantly. He's a little horse that I bought for small money at Ascot. He was a Darley cast off and only cost £1,800. He had a very good run on the Flat first time and he'll mix it between Flat and hurdles. He has to have good ground. He might go for the winners of one at Listowel. He's only handy but he has a lot of heart. The syndicate are from Athlone and have been with me since the start. It's great to have a little horse to do the job for them. He worked well at the Curragh the other morning and I told them all to come today.
Knockanarrigan enjoys his spin over hurdles
That was great. He loves that really good ground. He was probably well handicapped over hurdles on what he has done over fences and we always thought there was a hurdle race in him. He has a good high cruising speed and needs to come with one run. He held on to him which suited and Conor gave him a very good ride. He'll go back over fences and we'll look for something on good ground. He's a nice one to have.
Russell steers Clonalig House home
He's a big horse that took a long time to come to hand. He didn't jump well in his early days but seems to be getting it together now and that was a good performance. The horses are running better now. They ran well at Galway and we were delighted with them after that.
