Carrie gets the job done on debut over flights
Cromwell's Cray lands a gamble under Moore
He started coming to himself in the last few weeks and I did fancy him today. He is in again at Cork on Saturday and he will probably run again if he is alright. He didn't travel anywhere there and three miles shouldn't be a problem to him.
Another for Brouder as Madaboy makes the breakthrough
She has been tipping on the door for a while and at last we did it. She was in great order all week and I was expecting a big run. I didn't think she would be happy on that ground but she handled that well and hopefully there'll be a couple more in her. She is a full-sister to Lilshane and the whole family have a quirk; sometimes if you don't go to the start with her she bolts. I don't mind as long as they are winning!. You won't see Lilshane for three months as he has a bruise.
Bags makes it three wins from last four starts
It was going to be a good fight to the line only for the mistake by the second horse at the last. He handled that ground and we were all wrong about the horse as we thought he wanted a trip. We thought he'd run well around Wexford in a hurdle race and we afterwards thought he didn't handle the track and he is after coming together going the opposite direction this year. Obviously he gets two miles no problem and handles that ground. He can go back over hurdles again.
All credit to Hayes as Bull wins easily on chasing debut
All credit to Brian as none of our usual jockeys were sticking their hands up to ride him as his schooling hasn't been fantastic and he is keen and he hangs. Brian deserves huge credit and rides out in our yard every week. He has a big engine but hasn't been easy to train and isn't easy on himself. He is awkward but Brian got him into a good rhythm. We'll step him up now and the way he travelled he could come back in trip. We'll find a novice chase for him now.
Rewritetherules follows-up in style
I was in three minds about coming here as after Down Royal I said if he was okay he'd run here. I gave the horse a blow at home this morning to make sure he wasn't dead in himself and he felt great. He was very unlucky not to win two point-to'points when he fell and that's why I bought him. He is a promising horse. He needs to learn to switch off, he's 17 hands and I'd rather if the fences were in it down the back straight today. He is a good replacement for Hidden Cyclone and he'll either run in the Stratford hunters chase or the other hunter chase at Listowel next.
Fort Worth Texas gets revenge on Dime A Dozen
She acts better on heavier ground and I thought it might be a bit lively for her but she stays very well. She was a maiden at the start of the season and is now after winning four point-to-points and this and is a grand little thing. She will have a break now and will come back hurdling on winter ground. Leo (owner Leo McArdle) normally moves them to Willie (Mullins) but I think he's leaving this one to me.
Sales bound The Brass Man another for favourite backers
He was idling a bit in front and I think he is very good. He is a little bit of a baby still and he is homebred by myself and Peter Magnier and Tom Furlong has a third-share. It would have been nice to have had Peter here today (passed away in January). He was a great contact for the yard, was a big owner and a great friend. He is a big loss. This horse is for the sales at Doncaster - I'd love to be able to afford to keep him as I rate him very highly but probably won't be able to.
