Abbey on top in Tramore opener
She jumps and gallops and will make a nice chaser,. She's big and backward so we will tip away over hurdles this season. Hopefully she can pick up some more prize-money, and then go over fences next year.
Power lands gamble with Puppeteer
I thought he had a chance today as I was a bit disappointed with the ride I gave him the last day. The time before that he just blew up. It's beautiful ground and he likes that good going. We'll look for something similar.
Kitty has conditions to suit again
It was a case of all the duck in a row as the ground and trip suited and she probably needs a claimer riding her,. She's definitely better on good ground, and it was very heavy in Listowel. She only cost 400 quid, and nearly every day she is in the money.
Ben edges good duel in novice chase
I'm delighted for the owner Adrian McNamara from Killaloe as he's a great supporter of mine,. It was my fault the last day as he clipped heels at Gowran, and he had a fall before that. It's strange that he has an F and a U in front of his name as he's a good jumper. He just did enough there and deserves another win on his page. He'll go for handicap chases now.
Lip Service opens account on first chase start
He's always showed a bit. He jumps well and schooled well in his prep. Fortunately it all worked out well today,. We'll find something for him in a few weeks, and he can mix it over fences and hurdles.
Outsider scores again for Dullea & Mullins
Danny is flying at the moment and gave him a great ride,. I took a bit of a chance running him with just a seven days turnaround from Clonmel but there was a big incentive with just a 4lb penalty instead of the 8lb. He's a bit better going left-handed and did well to win going right-handed on a tight track like this. He wouldn't go on real winter ground but if there was some nice ground near the end of the month we might be tempted to run him again. We have always been very lucky around here.
Ballyegan defies drift to score
I thought he had the form to win but I was afraid of the track. I was right as he didn't come down the hill but then flew home. He wants a good galloping track,. That ground was fine but I'd say he wouldn't go on heavy ground. He'll go back over hurdles. The owner Tom O'Brien is a doctor from Tralee.
