Percy another for Hogan
He showed toughness today. I didn't want to go for him too soon but when I grabbed a fresh hold of him he went on again. He beat a highly-rated horse today and we'll have to see what the handicapper does now. He might have to go the novice route but that wouldn't be the end of the world.
Psycho too strong in the Beamish Stout
He was unlucky at Cheltenham. He landed on top of the fifth fence and it was goodnight then. You can put a line through that and he schooled since at Naas under Carberry and went well. He jumped brilliantly today and he couldn't have done it any better. He's been an unlucky horse and I'd suppose I'll stick him in a few races at Cheltenham and Fairyhouse and we'll see what happens in the meantime.
Betheholygobbs finally gets there
The owner Eddie Farrell is from Castletownroche in Cork and I'm happy this horse has won for him as he has been terribly unlucky. He has never had too much luck in life but he got a race today. He stayed going well and he'll go for another handicap now.
Skorcher sees them all off
That was a pleasant surprise - I thought Glenlo Abbey was the best of my three. Skorcher needed that trip and he may go chasing now. I'll have to chat to the owners who might want to preserve his novice status.
Belle too good for the mares at Thurles
We thought she wanted two and a half miles and she'll go for a novice over that trip next.
Burke and Doyle strike again
That was great and he is going the right way. He is a fine big horse with a good temperament. Hopefully there's more to come and that he'll make a smashing chaser next year.
Black Benny another for the layers
He inhaled mud at Clonmel the last day and didn't travel afterwards. We always knew he was a good horse and he'll go hurdling now.
