O'Brien wins opener at Leopardstown
It's nice that he won here today. He has been slow enough to learn but I'll think he progress nicely. He should have no problem in stepping up in trip and hopefully he'll improve from this.
O'Neill wins aboard Silly Dancer
She's down to winning mark now. She's in Gowran next week so we'll probably go there for something similar. She's been running consistently all season and she deserved to win.
Oliver/Hayes in form at Leopardstown
That's the first time all the conditions have suited this filly as in she got her ground, trip and course. She had a rating of 71 and we were tempted to go down the handicapping route with her but I always felt she was good enough to win a maiden,.
Lillie Langtry wins Debutante Stakes
She's a lovely filly and we gave her a break after Ascot. Johnny gave her a very confident ride and the Debutante Stakes is a nice race to win. She has a great turn of foot and she can change gears very quickly. She will go for the Moyglare Stud Stakes next and she should stay a mile.
Foley continues good run
She stuck at it well. It was her first time in an all age handicap and I thought it looked a very competitive race and it was a great effort. Shane gave her a great ride and she did it well and answered every call. She wouldn't want anymore of an ease in the ground. I was little worried about the ground after the heavy shower before racing. She will probably come back here next week for a 6 furlong race.
Carroll at his best
It's nice to get a winner around here and we're very pleased. It's nice to break the bad spell we were having, the horses just weren't running their best. At the end of the day this fellow is just a handicapper and we'll try pick up something similar for him if we can get his ground.
Foley in double again
She's a super filly she was very disappointing at Down Royal the last day and we could find no excuse for it other than she was having an off day but she seems to be back to herself. We will probably run her in a hurdle race next but we have the Cesarewitch at the Curragh in the back of our minds now.
