Avellino takes Clonmel opener in style
She’s a grand filly. She won two bumpers, a maiden hurdle and now she has won over fences. Robbie just said the ground is very tacky, very holding but she put in a great round of jumping and he had them well covered three out. She was unlucky, maybe, at Fairyhouse where she rubbed the last. Going forward she’s a nice filly, so once the ground stays safe for her — soft ground — we might look for black type for her.
Southerner stylish winner on chase debut
Marcach gets his head in front for deserved win
We’ve been waiting a long time for that one and he’ll get a bit further. Rachael said he wasn’t in love with the ground and on looser ground he’d gallop away through it. He’s owned and bred by Tom Egan so he’ll be happy with that. We’ll see what the ground is like before we decide what to do next. He’s just learning the job and will be a better horse next year up in trip.

Danny doubles up with Best
