Canary claims opener

He's actually a six or seven furlong horse. He probably has no business running in a five furlong race at Tipperary but he's tough and hardy,. He'll get an entry in the Marble Hill Stakes (5f Listed 26th May Curragh) but would only run there if it's soft as he needs further. My two-year-olds are in good nick. There won't be many more three-runner two-year-old races in Tipperary.

Srucahan off the mark

He's not winning out of turn and deserves to get his head in front,. The ground seems to be the key to him as he loves to get his toe in. Chris said riding him today was like riding on good ground. He is what he is and that will do his confidence the world of good. Hopefully he'll give us a bit of fun next year and make into a right little sprinter.

Byron overcomes testing conditions

He's not in love with the ground but he has a bit of class,. He's a lot stronger as a four-year-old. There aren't many opportunities for him here now and we'll try and find another handicap for him.

Hartani holds off charge of Offer

He came on from his first run and we'll see what the handicapper does now. He probably wouldn't like fast ground but would like genuinely good ground. He'll get further but at the moment that trip is good for him. The finish was a bit of a heart-stopper alright!

Quick double for Murtagh and Oxx

That was a bit of a surprise,. She was very green and we didn't think she would handle the heavy ground as well. We were hoping she would get into the money. Johnny said they went very quick up front which helped her get into the race. At the moment a mile-and-a-quarter is her trip but she should get a mile-and-a-half.

Deas has Ascot plan

I'm delighted. He's a very very nice horse,. I've a nice plan for him althought it might be a bit ambitious. I'm thinking of bringing him over for the mile Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot. He'll probably get into the race now.
