He did it well and showed a lot of bravery. He'll get an entry in the RSA and the four mile race.

No getting to tough Rocket

I was a bit nervous that the ground might be too heavy but he seemed to handle it alright. He's been in great order since Naas, and has been absolutely hopping off the ground. If he's okay he may go to Naas on Sunday.

Well-backed Emperor the boss

It's great to get that out of the way. He's had some great runs and it's nice to get that win,. The size of him you would think he's made for the fences at Aintree 30 years ago but his jumping has been a bit iffy over fences. He'll probably mix it between hurdles and chases, and we'll have to see where he goes next.

Ranger bounces out quickly for a win

I took a chance running him at Leopardstown but he jumped left. He'd a nice run here before that going right-handed,. Liz Connolly has done some work on him since his last run as he was a bit sore under the saddle and around the breast area. I will get Liz to work on him again to iron out any problems before his next run. I told Jonathan to ride him handy. He's a horse that has always done nice bits of work, and it's great to see him doing it on the track.

3 up for Sam

He was very good and jumped great. I'd like to go to Cheltenham if we can get him high enough. He will get another few pounds for this but I think he will probably have to win again to get a run at Cheltenham. I think it's absolutely fantastic. It's great for someone in racing and in the public eye to get the honour. It's very much deserved.

More joy for Val O'Brien yard

He'll need a bit of a break after two races on that ground, and we'll find something for him in three to four weeks. He went up 11lbs for his last win so we nearly had to run here.
