Sister comes from last to first under Coen
I weighted her to win and she's won. I think the second and third are rated in the 50's and she's rated 67. She's won three for us and would probably be a good claim for somebody. She got the gap, quickened up and did it well.
Phantom completes quick-double for Lynam
That was an important one to get as he's a half-brother to Slade Power. His full-brother Heavenly Power won in the Curragh recently. It looked a bit scary at the top of the straight. I thought Shane (Foley) had pinched it. It's nice to get it.
Feane & Ryan double-up with Anatoli
He was a bit keen and Gavin rode him relaxed into the straight. He pulled up in front when he got there and thought he'd enough done. He has a lot of natural speed and they weren't going quick enough for him today. It takes a fair horse to lead him even at home. There is plenty of improvement in him.
Resourceful Man brings up 34/1 Lynam treble
We’re doing well and Johnny (Feane) cost me four but we’ll take three. He seems to like it here and will probably come back here. His turf runs have been disappointing. I’m glad to win with him again. He’s a homebred of Trevor’s and he owns him. I trained the mare (Byzantium) and he bought her for breeding. Trevor was in the Eureka Thoroughbreds Syndicate with me when Brendan Sheridan rode a maiden hurdle winner and John Queally a bumper win so that shows you how long ago it was. He’s a gentleman to train for.
Girl gets a third win to her name
She likes the surface and showed a spark in Naas recently. She’s probably just better on this surface than the grass for some reason. She had a couple of messy starts but wasn’t always like that. She jumped awkwardly one day in Tipperary and it sort of frightened her for a while. We pull a hood off her now and she broke well today. She handled going six furlongs well so we'll tip away.
