Collins takes opener with well-fancied juvenile
His maiden at the Curragh has worked out very well, there have been a good few winners come out of it, and he's come on from that race. It was back to the minimum trip today but he'll have no problem in stepping up. He handled the ground well but doesn't necessarily need that kind of ground. He was green too and will learn a lot from today. He's quite babyish, racing will improve him and hopefully he's going to go forward for us. He was home-bred by Cathy Grassick and that's her second runner and second winner.

Passing Trade gains reward for consistency
She has been Mrs Consistent for the past few years. She got chinned here last year on the line in this race and I said we'd come back and have another go at it. The syndicate is from the Goat Grill, including Charlie Chawke and Eamon Cleary. It's the first horse I've had for them and I'm delighted for them. She's in at Navan on Saturday and we'll run her again. She's a good, old, tough filly and I think the little bit of give in the ground helped too. That's her mark, around 70, but she has done her job now. She's a well-bred filly and she has two wins on her card now as well as a load of places. She doesn't really have to do much more.
12/1 doubles for Mulvany and Carroll
She's been a model of consistency all year and has been improving all the time. I think she's going to be a nice filly next year because she's just growing and filling into her frame. You'd be hoping that it would be onwards and upwards. It's been a very good day. It's nice to have a double and this has been a lucky meeting for us. These Tough As Nails horses, when they get into a battle nine times out of ten they come out on top. What they don’t have in ability they make up for in pure determination, which is a great thing in a horse. I know I run my horses often, but we don’t kill them at home after. If you didn’t run them you’d have to be bringing them somewhere to gallop them anyway. They do most of their work on the racecourse.
Well-backed Dromod Lad wins for Harty and Gallagher
It's nice to get. He had a few decent bits of form and we always thought he'd win something but didn't think we'd have to come this low with him. It showed he goes on the ground and we're getting into that time of year now. We'll keep going with him and see how far he can go. The handicapper can't be that hard on him as he's been knocking on the door for long enough, it wasn't out of turn. He's a very athletic horse, handles that ground and saw the mile out well so there is no reason he couldn't have a future over jumps as well. He's big enough for it.
Comer's Scarlet Seymour wins 'Hill' finale at 22/1
She's been working very well and been running well but only doubt was the ground but Shane (Crosse) said she handled it very, very well. She had a wide draw and everything against her. She was fourth in a maiden at Leopardstown early on and she always had a bit of ability. Our horses are running great now and obviously it just suited her today. We'll whip her out again as quickly as we can.
